Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy explains what information VDOHBoost (vdohboost.com) collects and how it is used. VDOHBoost ("we", "us") is an independent service operated by an individual. Contact us at legal@vdohboost.com. We are based in Thailand and are responsible for this data. VDOHBoost does not require an account.

1. Information we process

  • Links you paste and the settings you choose (trim, crop). For each job, our D1 database stores the pasted link, the video title and thumbnail, technical file data and your cut settings. It does not store your IP address, cookie ID or any user ID.
  • Video files fetched from the link and the MP4 files you export.
  • Usage and quota data: to apply free limits, each browser gets a first-party anonymous session cookie, vb_cid, used only to enforce 8 clips per day and 40 per month. vb_cid is a random ID (UUID) that lasts 1 year and is set as HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. A second limit per network uses a keyed hash (HMAC-SHA256) of your IP address (we never store the raw IP), currently 24 per day and 120 per month. A use is counted when you fetch a clip (Get clip), not only when you export. Counters are kept in a Cloudflare Durable Object, keyed by the cookie ID and by the hashed IP, and hold only counts, not other personal data.
  • Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across sites.
  • Technical data: browser type, device and request logs, collected by our hosting provider and used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors. Logs are kept in Cloudflare Workers Logs; raw IP addresses are never stored in logs (only HMAC-SHA256 hashes), query strings are stripped from logged URLs, and secrets, cookies, tokens and authentication headers are removed before logging. Log sampling is reduced so only a portion of requests is logged. Logs are kept only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention and legal obligations, and never permanently without reason. Cloudflare Workers Logs keeps logs for up to 7 days and then deletes them automatically. We do not export logs or keep them anywhere else.
  • Messages you send us, such as by email or a copyright notice.

We do not ask for your name, and we do not sell your personal information.

2. How long we keep it

Video files (stored in R2) and job records (stored in D1) are deleted automatically about 30–45 minutes after the job is created, by a cleanup task that runs every 15 minutes. They are deleted immediately if you delete the job or if the job fails. Files held temporarily inside the processing container are deleted after processing. Quota counters are deleted 7 days after their daily or monthly limit period ends. Copyright notices, counter-notices and related correspondence are kept in our legal mailbox as records for as long as needed to handle disputes, repeat infringement and legal claims, which may be indefinitely.

3. Service providers

VDOHBoost runs on Cloudflare, which is our only data processor: Cloudflare Workers, the D1 database, R2 (stores processed video files temporarily), Queues (job handoff; messages carry only the job ID and type), Containers and Durable Objects (download and cut video, and hold quota counters), and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf and may store it in data centres outside your country. See Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Other third parties. To fetch a video, we contact the platform it comes from (Instagram, Facebook or TikTok).

International transfers. Video downloading and cutting runs in Cloudflare data centres in western North America, and other Cloudflare services may process data outside Thailand or your country. By using VDOHBoost, your data may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

4. Cookies and storage

We do not currently show ads.

We use essential storage in your browser to keep the tool working: the vb_cid anonymous session cookie used only for usage limits, and local storage that holds only your chosen language and your cookie-consent choice.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process data to provide the service you request, for our legitimate interests in running a secure and free service, and with your consent where consent is required.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR), you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Since we hold very little data and no accounts, we may not be able to link data to you. Contact us at legal@vdohboost.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children

VDOHBoost is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
